..Bashful, hopeful.

That is what the Scriptures mean when they say,

“No eye has seen, no ear has heard,
and no mind has imagined
what God has prepared
for those who love him.”

10 But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.

– 1 Conrinthians 2:9 – 10

i asked God to open my eyes.

and He said:  “look to Me.”

This song makes me think of abundant, overflowing life. The math involved for life to be possible at all is staggering. Let alone beauty. love. joy. forgiveness. To hold someone in your arms is to hold a living, breathing miracle. At any age, this life is a gift.”

– Jon Foreman of Switchfoot, talking about the song “Needle and Haystack Life”

Joel: Wait.
Clementine: Why?
Joel: I don’t know. Just wait… for a while.

Was reading 2 Samuel 23 and boy.
if there are people who can kick ass, these guys can.

8 These are the names of David’s mightiest warriors. The first was Jashobeam the Hacmonite,[b] who was leader of the Three[c]—the three mightiest warriors among David’s men. He once used his spear to kill 800 enemy warriors in a single battle.[d]9 Next in rank among the Three was Eleazar son of Dodai, a descendant of Ahoah. Once Eleazar and David stood together against the Philistines when the entire Israelite army had fled. 10 He killed Philistines until his hand was too tired to lift his sword, and the Lord gave him a great victory that day. The rest of the army did not return until it was time to collect the plunder!

11 Next in rank was Shammah son of Agee from Harar. One time the Philistines gathered at Lehi and attacked the Israelites in a field full of lentils. The Israelite army fled, 12 but Shammah[e] held his ground in the middle of the field and beat back the Philistines. So the Lord brought about a great victory.

– 2 Samuel 23: 8 -11

Talk About majoring in total Ass – Kicking business.
With a spear killed 800 philistines? Killed all the philistines till his hand froze to the sword?
Held his ground and beat back the Philistines?

What made this great men, well, great?
Submission.

They fought all the way back to the well in Bethlehem to draw water for David.
Turn around and fought all the back to David.
and David did what? poured the water on the ground.

And to take that and still say: “I’m pushing on and fighting on with you David, and if you say you are thirsty. i’ll do it again.”

for these great men to submit to David? just wow. and they were made great.

26 Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant.

– Matthew 20:26

and He said;

“My son, hold on, submit, fight on. i’ll get you there.”
